The following calls were received by Sitka police by 8 a.m. today:
July 12
A resident signed a criminal trespass form against a man to keep him out of the harbors. Police served it.
A man dropped his dog off at a bank, said he was going to the library and then left. He picked up his pet before the animal control officer arrived.
A resident said a neighbor’s belongings were on his property, on Lake Street. He was advised it was a civil issue. The neighbor told police she would move her belongings.
A resident told the animal control officer that he and his dog were attacked by another dog on the trail next to the high school. The resident said his dog was bleeding and he planned to take it to a vet.
Prescription glasses in a brown case were reported lost.
Three men reported drinking vodka in public at Harrigan Centennial Hall were gone when police checked. They were found at the library and advised of the complaint.
An ATV seen in the 1200 block of SMC at 4 p.m. was gone when police arrived shortly later.
A resident driving an ATV on SMC after being advised not to was warned that if it were seen on the roadway again it would be impounded.
A man turned in a Washington driver’s license.
A resident asked police to check on a man who appeared to be sleeping on a bench on Lake Street. He told police he had been taking a little nap, and went on his way.
At 6:33 p.m. a man wearing a hat and carrying a sleeping bag was reported to have gone into a building, against the wishes of the building manager. The man told officers he was using the building as a shelter. Officers asked him not to return.
Officers were on a higher priority call and weren’t able to respond to a report of 10 unsecured juveniles in the back of a truck, at 7:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of HPR.
A phone was left on a city bus.
At 8:36 p.m. a caller reported two men were fighting over the assault of a woman, on Price Street. A second report came in from the same neighborhood. Officers investigated and arrested two men.
At 9:04 p.m. a woman, possibly on drugs, was reported seen taking off her shoes and coat, leaving them on the sidewalk and heading down the street, a caller said. She was later seen going into an apartment building, but was gone when police arrived.
A restaurant worker said two people ate, paid with a card and left, leaving the card behind. The card was declined. Two criminal trespasses notices were signed against them.
A caller complained at 11:10 p.m. that two Jeff Davis Street potholes were not staying covered, which was causing problems.
A bear was reported on Viking Way at 11:53 p.m. but was gone when officers arrived.
July 13
At 1:14 a.m. a caller said a woman in protective custody at a hospital refused to cooperate with testing, and should be moved to the police station for evaluation by a social service agency. She fled the hospital before police arrived, but agreed to return when officers located her nearby. She was taken to the police station.

Matthew Hartshorn, 22, was remanded Wednesday on a probation violation and for violating release conditions after he blew a .089 on a breathalyzer.
Kenneth L. Nielsen Jr., 36, and Franklin D. Osborne, 65, were charged Wednesday with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.
