Sitka Police logged the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
Jan. 16
At 9:14 a.m. Harbors said it was tagging a trailer at Sealing Cove.
A hospital said the camera had caught someone taking two salads from the cafeteria.
A caller said new graffiti was on the side of Blatchley by the pool.
A caller said a 1989 GMC suburban had been left parked on the right-of-way in the 2000 block of HPR for about a week, and was leaking oil.
A woman said she’d received a threatening call from a female after seeing her in a parking lot and waving. An officer talked to both.
Coastal Collision said a vehicle had been stolen from the business, was damaged and then returned.
At 3:19 p.m. a caller said an intoxicated woman was staggering almost into traffic in the 900 block of SMC. Officers contacted someone willing to care for her.
At 5 p.m. dispatch received a domestic violence order to be served.
Jan. 17
At 12:29 a.m. an officer said a woman was stopped partly in the road while she tried to catch a Corgi mix, in the 900 block of HPR. Officers stated they had seen the dog frequently in the 600-900 blocks and believe they know who the owner is. The dog eluded capture and remains at large.
At 1:04 a.m. an officer reported seeing a juvenile walking out after curfew in the 700 block of HPR. She was left in the care of her guardian.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 11:07 a.m., 12:18 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. Tuesday.
