Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
July 17
Police disposed of a dead duck.
An intoxicated man who fell at a store was taken to the hospital.
EMS was called for a man who fell at Maksoutoff and Lincoln.
At 7:45 p.m. a caller said a driver talking on a cell phone nearly hit her.
At 7:49 p.m. a caller said a man was urinating near or on the bridge.
At 9:40 p.m. a gunshot was reported in the 4000 block of HPR.
At 11:45 p.m. a caller said her intoxicated ex-husband was riding his bike, and their son, who was with him, was trying to get him out of the road. Police gave the man a ride home.
July 18
A woman said her neighbor might be stalking her – he’s frequently at places where she is.
An ambulance was called for an intoxicated man who fell.
At 3:14 a.m. a caller said a man was screaming obscenities and might be having a “drug-induced episode” on Kaagwaantaan Street. He agreed to leave after officers talked to him.
TSA told police an individual was traveling with personal use marijuana. Police spoke with the person.

Troy Mayer, 53, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of unlawful contact in the first degree.
Gwendolyn Roth, 57, was charged Wednesday with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.
Kalina Heitman-Merkel, 28, was arrested Wednesday on a Sitka warrant for failing to talk to her pretrial enforcement division officer as instructed. She was also charged with violating conditions of release.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 1:45, 2:16 and 6:51 p.m. Wednesday and 1:44 a.m. today.
In Court
Miguel D. Garcia, 21, was sentenced to 30 days, suspended, for misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree. He will be on probation for a year and is to complete treatment recommendations.
