The following calls were received by Sitka police by 8 a.m. today:
Oct. 23
At 12:55 p.m. a woman was reported screaming outside a trailer. Officers found she and a man were arguing, and gave both a warning. The man left.
A man said someone went through his vehicle and stole his insurance card in the airport parking lot. He was advised to lock his vehicle in the future.
At 2:20 p.m. the Office of Children’s Services asked for help on a matter.
An off-brand silver cell phone was reported lost.
A man said he hasn’t seen his adult son in two weeks, when he usually sees him daily. Police called the son, who said he would call his father.
At 5:06 p.m. an intoxicated man was reported stumbling in the street in the 1900 block of HPR. Officers were unable to locate him.
A woman said she’d received a call from a man who tried to convince her she had won money, than cursed and became vulgar at some point in the conversation. She said the call came from Kingston, Jamaica, and that information on the internet told her that the call came from a known scam operator.
At 6:31 p.m. a woman said she was hit by another woman. Police interviewed witnesses at the scene.
At 11:48 p.m. a resident complained about the wait time at the light at HPR and Katlian Street.
Oct. 24
At 12:30 a.m. a caller said someone moved the cones into the lane of traffic in the 1900 block of HPR. Police replaced the cones.
An ambulance was called for someone who tried to harm herself.
An affidavit was filled out against someone who violated conditions of probation or release.
Charges were forwarded to the district attorney’s office on a case of marijuana possession.

Quentin White, 18, was arrested early today for minor operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol, and violating conditions of release.
Emergency Calls
The Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 10:35 a.m., 12:55 p.m. and 7:56 p.m. Thursday, and 12:33 a.m. today.
