The following calls were received by Sitka police by 8 a.m. today:
Feb. 2
At 11:19 a.m. a social services agency asked for help getting a client to a hospital for an evaluation.
A cell phone was found on Oja Street.
Police responded to a number of reports of dogs running at large.
At 3:07 p.m. a caller asked police to check on a vehicle with a missing muffler. Officers found it had been stolen from the Crescent Harbor parking lot, and later abandoned.
At 3:30 p.m. a resident turned in items her husband found under the bridge, including ointment, antibiotics and packets of dressing. A message was left with the owner’s sister.
A resident said someone spit on her car. There was no damage, and police advised the woman of her options.
At 5:45 p.m. police documented an accident in the 2700 block of HPR involving a trailer and a vehicle. The person who caused the accident agreed to cover damages.
A packet of marijuana found in a grocery store was turned over to police to be destroyed.
At 7:37 p.m. a woman said a dog she had given away had shown up at her door. She said she didn’t remember who she had given the Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix to.
An intoxicated man was reported on Monastery Street at 8:15 p.m.
In Court
Three counts of violating conditions of release were dismissed against Kyle R. Hanson, 29.
Emergency Calls
The Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 11:05 a.m.. 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.
