The state Department of Health and Social Services has posted the following update on the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Alaska as of 10:12 a.m. Thursday.

New cases as of Wednesday: 347

Total statewide – 146,247

Total (cumulative) deaths – 853

Total (cumulative) hospitalizations – 3,102

Photo caption: Alaska Public Safety officers, city police, fire department members and others salute as an American flag is raised on Castle Hill. The flag had been flown over ground zero on the site of the World Trade Center attacks in New York City, and given to Alaska to be circulated throughout the state. The Coast Guard and American Legion color guards led the parade from Crescent Harbor to Castle Hill.
