The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.
March 28
Protective orders were served downtown at 1:42 p.m., and a residential area at 6:29 p.m.
At 2:23 p.m. a driver approaching the airport apparently lost control, knocked down a telephone pole, two electrical boxes and a stop sign, and sprayed gravel on nearby cars near the 7-day parking area. The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle, a 2015 Toyota RAV4, was totaled, police said. The investigation had not been completed as of 8 a.m. today.
A caller reported a man might be driving with a revoked license. An officer found the man’s vehicle but it was unoccupied.
A caller reported hearing a neighbor’s baby crying and yelling. Officers checked and found nothing was wrong.
At 10:46 p.m. a dog was reported running at large near the Sawmill Creek Plaza. Officers returned it to its owner.
A possibly intoxicated driver was reported in the 300 block of Lincoln Street. Officers didn’t locate the driver.
At 11:31 p.m. an out-of-state caller asked for a welfare check on a friend who might be suicidal. Officers found the friend was fine.
March 29
At 12:40 a.m. a minor was cited for drinking after a domestic problem was investigated at a residence. The minor was left with her grandmother.

The Assembly decided Tuesday against municipal participation in the U.S. Bicentennial Year commemorative project because of various objections to the project proposed: construction of a Russian tea house pavilion on the Centennial Building parking lot. The estimated local share of the project would be $37,000.
